PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER POSITION
We are a family-owned and operated HVAC business serving the Delaware Valley community, looking to add a part-time bookkeeper. An ideal candidate for this position would be a self-motivated, friendly, and hardworking individual with a very detail-oriented mind. In this position, you will be responsible for invoices, posting to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, as well as other various duties, including helping with the phones if needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in bookkeeping.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel as well as QuickBooks, Peachtree, Sage, or similar software.
HOURS
This job will be part-time, averaging 10-25 hours per week, with the possibility of occasional remote work after a 90-day probationary period to assess proficiency and effectiveness in the new role.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recording the financial transactions of the business
- Arranging payment of accounts.
- Preparing and sending invoices and receipts to debtors.
- Processing payroll and maintaining employee records.
- Carrying out bank reconciliations.
- Checking figures and reporting for accuracy.
- Reporting any irregularities in data to management.
- Producing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.
This part-time position holds the possibility of becoming full-time.
This position would best suit an individual with a few free hours each day, such as someone who is semi-retired or a parent looking to return to the workforce. Because the hours needed each week will vary, this position is not intended for someone whose income would be entirely dependent on this job.
